Crossfit intro #11
Written by Stuart Scollay on August 26th, 2011Slower than before because of a lot of push ups yesterday and in the warm up this morning. My chest just doesn’t have the strength or endurance. Still doing the sets on toes going down and on knees coming up.
OHS testing went poorly. I felt that my shoulders were still tight and tired from the military press testing yesterday and all the push ups. I had difficulty keeping the weight centered over my heals from about 1/2 to 3/4 squat. When fully down it was a little better, but there were times that I was working really hard to just keep the bar from moving forward.

Tried black Nike casual shoes instead of the Simple shoes, worked ok. The high intensity sprints are tough for me. I find it much easier to cruise at a slow pace for a long time.

Infineon June 11-12, 2011 – BMW CCA Club Races
Written by Stuart Scollay on June 19th, 2011Thanks to Keith I was able to get a leaking power steering hose fixed on Saturday afternoon and make all of the Sunday session. There is a lot of driver work to do to be more competitive. I’m a little down on racing right now. I may just not be very good at it and could better spend my time, money and effort on other pastimes that might give me more enjoyment.
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca PDC day

Rookie
Written by Stuart Scollay on September 7th, 2009I decided to pull the trigger and go ahead and apply for my BMW CCA Club Racing Rookie License. After not much delay they confirmed my experience and sent me back a package with a bunch of decals I need to install and my official rookie license.

I’m targeting an October 31st race at Infineon as my debut. I hope its not wet and slippery like the first time I was there.
